Really nice review on location-selective GPCR signaling in neurons by Manoj Puthenveedu (he/him) Lab! sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
Our paper by Subhi Marwari and Cody Kowalski is out today in British Journal of Pharmacology (BJP). We find that pharmacological blockade of Gq/11 suppresses activity of DRG neurons, their inhibition by opioids and has analgesic effects in mice. bpspubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/bp…
Check out our new paper in led by Gissell A Sanchez in a team effort from the Smrcka Lab, Susie L Ingram and emily j labs. A nice complement to the recent work by Kirill Martemyanov Lab on Gq targeting and opioid antinociception. molpharm.aspetjournals.org/content/early/….
Congratulations to Umich Pharmacology 2022 Outstanding Alumni Speaker, Dr. Ezra Lowe, and his graduate mentor, Dr. Yoichi Osawa!
I’m honored to be recognized for my most recent publication 😌Thank you to Smrcka Lab for nominating my work to be highlighted 🙏🏻🙌🏻
Morales, Smrcka, Anantharam et al UToledo Medicine show that PACAP, an important neurotransmitter at the splanchnic-chromaffin cell synapse, operates through a pathway involving Gαs, PLCε, & L-type calcium channels bit.ly/3G7O9v1 #CellularPhysiology #IntercellularSignaling
Our latest Research News: Morales et al. (bit.ly/3G7O9v1) reveal how the neurotransmitter PACAP induces a secretory response in chromaffin cells that differs from the one induced by acetylcholine. bit.ly/3ZSckW2 Smrcka Lab
I’ve had the pleasure of chairing the Pharmacology in Color symposium with Manoj Puthenveedu (he/him) at the ASPET conference this year. I’m grateful that I’ve been able to be in the planning team Umich Pharmacology and branch it out to ASPET .
