East coast ridging with southwest flow aloft supports 60 degree potential by the end of the week! There will also be shower chances around this timeframe as colder air tries pushing in during the weekend. Signals point to colder weather returning afterward.

Temperatures will be a couple degrees warmer Monday than what we saw today, though skies will become mostly cloudy after today's sunshine.

Clouds will still remain in check on Tuesday, though temperatures will be warmer. More sunshine on Wednesday, temperatures potentially in the upper 50s!

Temperatures come up a few degrees on Tuesday, though still with an abundance of clouds. We mix in more sun on Wednesday with even warmer temperatures!

The end of the week still has that mild look! While scattered rain showers are possible Friday into Saturday, temps approaching the 60s will feel quite nice. Even potentially rising above freezing toward the Canadian Boarder! This timeframe will be the peak of this warm spell.

Along with the very mild temperatures, shower chances increase Friday ahead of a low pressure system. Saturday over all should be the wetter of the two days though before drying out Sunday.

The breakdown as we think about the end of the week. After the showers and notable mild spell, colder and drier weather is expected to return by Sunday.

It's going to be quite a mild Friday! Like Wednesday, temperatures could rise to 60 degrees for the interior. It will be much cooler by the coast however, with highs in the low 50s. Most of the day will be dry, with a chance for scattered showers arriving this evening.

The high temperature forecast is a bit deceiving for Saturday, and quite challenging. A warm front tries lifting back north in the evening, likely stalling before pushing offshore Saturday night. Could make for a very tight temperature gradient across the peninsula!

Drought is expanding across Delmarva. This week's update shows a decent chunk of the peninsula under a moderate drought. Rain is certainly needed!
