New: As first reported by Charles Paullin, Attorney General Jay Jones is taking steps that could open the door to Virginia rejoining RGGI. In 2024, a judge ruled Glenn Youngkin didn't have the authority to remove VA from RGGI, and his actions were null and void. That ruling has been on hold

Mavis and I join Mathews Co. and our fellow Virginians in mourning the tragic passing of Commonwealth’s Attorney Marie Walls. She devoted her career to the administration of justice, served her community with integrity, and was widely revered by her colleagues and constituents.

I enjoyed the opportunity to meet with local public safety officials from Abingdon and Bristol to discuss their priorities, initiatives, and the challenges facing their communities. I look forward to working collaboratively to ensure safer communities across Southwest Virginia.
