Did you know all barramundi start their life as males before changing sex half way through their life?! In our new paper we study the underlying drivers of sex change and develop methods to double the efficiency of breeding programs. @CSTFA_JCU James Cook Uni doi.org/10.1016/j.aqua… 1/5
Big milestone today! 4 years of research on #barramundi #reproduction completed📚🔬🐟💦 Could not have asked for a better #aquaculture team and supervisors @CSTFA_JCU James Cook Uni
We just published a follow up to our previous work on early sex-change in barramundi. Our new study shows precocious females can be spawned at 1/2 the age of standard females & produce just as many larvae/kg. Big gains for breeding programs w/ Marc Adrien bit.ly/35U9850
New paper just come from the oven, prepint available online & open-access. Small work that presents results that open prospects for really disruptive science in fish reproduction PiE-UPV/EHU with our research group #reprochange sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
