There is a hostage situation happening at the County Jail right now. A CO is being held by a detainee on the 10th floor. The pods on 10 include a veteran pod, a pod of people waiting for transfer to DOC, and “Max security,” as I understand.

These conditions are unacceptable. Are we surprised that incarcerated folks have to take drastic measures to ensure their voices are heard? That they aren’t living in squalor? The entire prison industrial complex must be abolished.

There is a situation inside the OK county jail involving a CO taken hostage by prisoners making demands due to inhumane living conditions. Protesters are gathering outside the jail in solidarity now, we will keep posted with updates.

Today, this Intentional Transgender Day of Visibility, we recognize the struggles of our transgender comrades in just trying to be themselves. Attacks continue here in Oklahoma. An unfortunate example: SB676, which is trying to make it illegal to provide gender-affirming care.
