Bonding over eel after a big first day of sessions at IntSoc Biomechanics 2023 in Fukuoka, Japan, and that’s how we do it. Bringing together UnimelbBME and Griffith University folks. Lots to catch up on! David John Saxby Dale Robinson and colleagues ARC CMIT #biomechanics

I was taken by how many presenters at IntSoc Biomechanics 2023, a large meeting of ~1000 people, acknowledged their partners and/or family back home. Academia is not a 9-5 job. Yet all these presenters were women! Gents, I think we have some work to do… #academia #WorkLifeBalance

A wonderful visit to University of Melbourne to share some of our work. Big thanks to Dave Ackland for the invitation and tour of your amazing facilities for bioengineering, orthopaedics, and biomechanics research.

Very nice to discuss research translation in orthopaedics at the AOA ASM in Melbourne with Elyse Passmore, Prof Eugene Ek, Dale Robinson and Prof Richard Page ANZORS #biomechanics #orthopaedics
