When the Pokémon card market crashes (it's a vicious cycle), buy the singles you want. If you're on the fence about buying a card you really like, don't think about it. Just buy it. Otherwise that $2 Nickit AR you were thinking about will end up being $100 as the cycle continues.

Reprints drop price a tad just for it to go back up. Pokemon needs to reprint probably millions of each item for it to make a difference. But a lot of items are printed far in advance. Phantasmal coming up could have been printed 6+ months ago. Pokémon doesn’t care about

I'm lucky enough now to be in a position where I COULD pay the inflated prices for these boxes, but it's just not worth it to me. And I'm not telling anyone what to do with their money, but it really shouldn't be worth it to anyone else either. FOMO is not good for you wallet.
