Drs Prof Peter Hotez MD PhD DSc(hon) & Bottazzi are the real MVPs. Not only did they develop an efficacious vaccine, but transferred the technology with NO patent! Ability to quickly ramp up production (100m doses/month!). Global vaccine equity just became a reality. Truly beyond incredible.

I hope with the schools announcement tomorrow we also hear a strong recommendation that kids should be vaccinated. I’d guess >95% of physicians with kids 5-11 have vaccinated them. With kids in general only 41% are vaccinated. Every kid deserves the protection of a vaccine.

When I learned of Jon’s passing. I think I swore at 2022. The first time I met Jon within 5min I wished I had the ability to mind meld with him and absorb all the vast knowledge, insight, and experience. He changed our City for the better. These have been days of great loss.
