Once you understand that smart adults used to be smart kids, and that smart kids were always a minority, a lot of things in society suddenly make sense.

A church in our town hosts a repair cafe once a month or so where you can take broken things in and get help fixing them from old retired dudes. My 12yo crockpot stopped working Thursday, so we went to repair cafe today, and they were able to fix it! So awesome. Love this idea.
