On this Day of #Arafat in the Farewell #Hajj, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) gave his Farewell Sermon. It is an amazing lesson for us all

False. It was constituent leaders with ‘subcontinent’ origins defusing the situation. I wonder though whose politics he blames for England fans fighting in Europe last week, riots in Derry and Cardiff last year and those setting light to police cars outside an asylum centre?

This brutality is not in a developing county but at Manchester Airport, setting back confidence in policing! Greater Manchester Police how is this possible? #Accountability

Spare a thought for Tony Hill who has been working at break neck speed in blazing hot sun to rebuild the Southport mosque wall before the far right can return. He said: “And if we have to build it again afterwards we will do just that.”

I used to be like you. I used to think Muslims were the enemy, but then I spoke to one. DON'T BELIEVE THE LIES ABOUT ISLAM! My message to all the 'English patriots' rampaging across the UK...

Must remember there are many more of us who are against this stuff than those perpetuating it❤️ BUT right now those of us who fit their definition of P*** must just keep safe & hope for the best (Won’t mention the ones privileged enough to walk by/remain silent)

Muslim Defence League is trending. This is right-wing invention. I'm a white Atheist but I HATE racist stuff. So let's play them at their own game! Tonight I bought muslimdefenceleague.org. Can anyone help me make it into something that shows the greatness Muslims do? Thanks x

For many NHS staff, the recent racist violence in this country will leave them feeling afraid and unwelcome. To those colleagues, our message is simple: you are welcome and you are valuable members of our community. Reach out for support if you need it. england.nhs.uk/supporting-our…

If you tweeted about “hate marches” (when arrest numbers were similar at Glastonbury) but are silent now when England has been set on fire by hundreds of far right racists, then you are part of the problem.

It's not perfect, but watch Al Jazeera English. It's like its journalists are practising a different trade to those at BBC, ITV, Sky News etc. You can actually learn something from it. A glimpse of what broadcast journalism could and should be.

Another day, another senior Tory being Islamophobic. Allahu Akbar means God is great - the Muslim equivalent of Hallelujah. Jenrick's confidence in going on national TV to say people should be arrested for saying Allahu Akbar exposes his deep-seated prejudice against Muslims.

MCB (@muslimcouncil) 's Twitter Profile Photo

We are shocked at Robert Jenrick’s claim on Sky News this morning that those who proclaim ‘God is great’ (or Allahu Akbar) in public should be arrested. This is a phrase recited publicly and privately by billions of Muslims around the world as they offer their solemn prayers

i think what we've discovered tonight is that Farage has been lying. britain doesn't actually agree with him. he doesn't 'have a point'. could we stop putting him on the tv now? since he basically only represents a fringe that have fallen for his lies.

The historic decision by the the UK’s biggest private pension fund, USS, to divest from Israeli assets implicated in the illegal colonial occupation of 🇵🇸, is testament to the hard work of the UCU and others in campaigning tirelessly for an ethical investment policies in line

We opened the doors of the mosque a week after protesters came outside, and we invited them to come and talk with us. The event went amazingly well, some of those who protested were here, in addition to many other curios members of our society. We were asked tough questions
