Carney's new fiscal anchors are a sham. 1) Carney isn't balancing the budget, so Carney changes it to balancing the "operating budget." 2) Debt-to-GDP is rising, so Carney changes it to "deficit-to-GDP."

#REPORT: The new Carney Liberal budget says that Canada could bring in as many as 420,000 immigrants per year until 2028, an increase from Trudeau-era levels of 395,000 per year.

Carney's first immigration plan of 380,000 PRs per year means 1.1 million PRs by 2028. Canadians have never been asked if they want endless expansion of the foreign-born population: a policy that enriches corporations while impoverishing workers and eroding national identity.

Carney plans to add $324 billion to the debt by 2030. Trudeau planned to add $154 billion to the debt over those same years. Let that sink in. Carney plans to add twice as much debt as Trudeau planned.

380,000 permanent residents a year for the next three years was bad enough. But now, we learn that "one-off initiatives" will add "an additional 148,000" PRs (115,000 refugees and 33,000 foreign workers). 148,000 additional PRs for refugees and foreign workers?

It just gets worse and worse with this Government. “Starting in 2026, the budget announces that Canada will pursue a “one-time” $120.4 million program to fast-track “eligible protected persons” into permanent residency.” There are almost half a million people in this program
