This is an important paper showing for the first time that brain’s spontaneous activity (SA) encodes behaviorally relevant motor patterns. Hence SA is not noise as posited by neurophysiology but codes for behaviorally relevant information. science.sciencemag.org/content/364/64…

maurizio corbetta It’s a very nice paper! I also really like this one, which shows that the majority of single trial variability during a discrimination task is dominated by uninstructed, spontaneous movements nature.com/articles/s4159…

Our book "Psychoneurowissenschaften" (Eds. Roth, Heinz Walter) by Springer (in German) is out. It contains a chapter on "Natur, Diagnose und Klassifikation psychischer Störungen" by myself which I think is a nice overview for non-experts. springer.com/de/book/978366…

Our new study on "Self control and interoception" is out since April 10th. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32283274/ We will continue this work as 4 more years of funding for the SFB 940 tu-dresden.de/bereichsueberg… was approved just a few days ago by the DFG!

Empfehle ich auch. Allerdings ist "Neurophilosophy of Free Will" (MIT, 2001) von Henrik Walter geschrieben, Cynthia Klohr hat es sehr schön aus dem Deutschen (1997) übersetzt.

Delighted to see Tore Erdmann's study out in JAMA Psychiatry: Amygdala Reactivity, Antidepressant Discontinuation, and Relapse jamanetwork.com/journals/jamap…. Amygdala reactivity to faces increases with antidepressant discontinuation mostly in those who then go on to relapse. Henrik Walter
