Just in time for Easter, the team London Zoo have helped a rare Rupell’s Griffon Vulture to hatch. They are the world’s highest-flying birds, reaching > 10km (same as most ✈️). They’re also important to the ecosystem - by feeding on carcasses, they help control disease

Rupell’s Griffon Vulture is Critically Endangered. ZSL has been working to protect them for many years, lobbying successfully across S Asia for a ban on diclofenac, that kills them. #vulture #conservation #eastereggs
