Really pleased to see my Economic and Social Research Council report 'Population Data for Inclusive Research' published bit.ly/3JPeUUD. Longitudinal research needs to do more to ensure our data and research is inclusive of harder-to-reach groups #DiversityInData

I am so delighted that Generation Scotland can finally announce our new round of recruitment. Anyone from anywhere in Scotland can join, sign up is online and sample collection is via a spit kit in the post. Also with parental permission 12-15 year olds can join too. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotla…

A great blog from #DAREUK on the importance of transparency, public involvement and engagement and public benefit when it comes to use of data: dareuk.org.uk/trustworthines… We agree, and work with public contributors to make sure UK LLC enables public benefit research.

Demonstrating trustworthiness is a major motivator behind this - UK Statistics Authority are rigorous and the standard is specific to TREs so is meaningful and covers all aspects of what we do. A true and rigorous independent audit - not for the fainthearted, but crucial to building trust.
