Did one of the world's great beach walks today - Seahouses to Bamburgh, Lindisfarne to the north, Farne Islands to the east, Bamburgh Castle high above, ever-changing weather & light, seabirds calling, sea turning - with lovely Clare Balding for Radio 4's Ramblings. Out in June

It's FOXLIGHT paperback publication day! Yes of course I have dressed my awful whippet up in a fleece emblazoned with his enemies.

Anyway, this edition has a brand new October, October story and is less chewy than the hardback. Good or bad news, depending on your perspective.

Wonderful news! This is such a special, joyous and supportive award - huge congratulations to all on the shortlist. But especially to Matt Goodfellow and Nathanael Lessore 🤫😉😁.

Pointing out just how remarkable this achievement is. For a non celeb author to achieve these sales is amazing. Honestly amazing!

I think I’m right in saying Escape Room wasn’t a Waterstones Book of the Month either -which is usually a big sales bump too. Bravo Christopher Edge

My fourth book publishes in exactly 3 months. If you preorder it now, and forget that you did, imagine the surprise you'll have when it arrives on July 18th! Lovely, mun.

I sometimes worry that people think I’m a bit obsessive/touchy about how comics are talked about.

I’ve just watched an interview with a very prominent, bestselling U.K. children’s writer who said that he loved reading comics as a child because ‘I was a bit thick’.
