I went up to the lake after the 11 newscast. My iPhone and I saw stars. Clouds rolling in now. still, a few minutes of lost sleep well spent on a nice night.

Aurora update: conditions are improving, with some faint aurora sightings near #ROC this evening. BUT - we'll be battling some cloud cover moving in. Full update on News10NBC at 11.

The current situation over the Lake in Greece with a KP level of 4.67. Little bit of greens and purples. You will not be able to see this with the naked eye, it's very faint. It took a 30 second exposure at F2.8 and ISO1000 to pick this up with my camera.

Northern Lights update: Still possible, but not a repeat of Friday. We've been fluctuating between Kp5 & 7, which puts us borderline on the southern viewing line. Plus, a bit of cloud cover is moving in. Go ahead if you feel like aurora hunting, but don't expect Friday's display.
