The 2nd Annual Wild Mile Block Party was hit! The raffle-interrupting rains didn’t stop over 850 people from coming out to celebrate the progress of this unique park. Between all the smiles, tacos, and even a surprise rainbow, it was a beautiful day for our river community 🌈

Thanks to Phil and Nick from Urban Rivers for the tour of the Wile Mile today! It's already an impressive project with 400 ft of walkways along the river and over 70 varieties of plants that create a habitat for more than 100 species of birds year-round.

The #WildMile, Chicago’s floating eco-park, located on the North Branch canal, is an incredible example of how we can restore ecosystems and expand recreation and access along our waterways. Thanks to Shedd Aquarium and Urban Rivers for the tour!
