What The Economist says is true. In this imperialist system where cheapened food (and feed, labour, resources etc for food production) is forced from the global south to rich countries like the UK. This causes starvation in the south. What we need is food sovereignty for all.

Heading to the River Summit today. Keen to find out: - How the debate can broaden from sewage to agricultural river pollution - How the movement plans to campaign around the general election - What a new govt needs to do in first 100 days / first term Thoughts?

Lord Walney seems to think protest is not a legitimate path to social change in a democracy. Perhaps he needs to take some history lessons.

Caroline Lucas (@carolinelucas) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Walney asked wouldn't his rules have made suffragettes, anti-apartheid or LGBTQ+ protestors extremists? Says it's different: suffragettes didn't have the vote. Because who needs right to protest when we can vote once every 5 years (under unrepresentative first past post system)?

Did you know that the bricks, mounds, barriers, and boulders you see around fields have been put there by the local authorities to stop Traveller people from having a place to rest? These places are often ancient stopping places for Traveller and Romany people. #WhereCanWeGo ?
