Pondering these quotes on time management. Thinking I need to refocus and work on the great dividing line between success and failure. I have decided you make time for what’s important so the bigger question is: what’s important to you?

Enneagram, SCARF, Myers-Brigg, etc…they all help us know ourselves as leaders and allow us to learn more about those we serve which is important. I’m wondering, though, do we ever use it as an excuse or justification for behavior?

Are your ss struggling w/math facts? Jennifer BayWilliams reveals we need to build on ss strengths. Ss need explicit strategy instruction which is NOT the same as direct instruction & practice should be centered around choosing/using strategies, not drill and kill.

This is an excellent example of having high expectations for the young children. If you believe they can, then they will!! Love all this math thinking from FIRST GRADE mathematicians!

First grade mathematicians in Ms. Reisen’s first grade class LaVergne Lake created graphs and discovered that subtraction of the smaller number from the larger number gives you the difference!

Kindergarten mathematicians JohnColemonElementary worked to find the relationship between addition and subtraction! Then Mrs. Mills worked with a small group to ‘bake cupcakes’ to solve contextual problems.

More exploring and discovering the math in Tiffany Groce 🍎’s third grade classroom JohnColemonElementary today! These kids made sense of contextual problems and used understanding of the associative property to find efficient ways to solve them!
