BJP won Surat Lok Sabha polling 75% votes in 2014 and 74% votes in 2019 elections. It could have easily won the seat with similar numbers again, as it remain a traditional stronghold. BUT that is not the case. Any 'unopposed' election is basically against the concept and spirit
