Bear Camp Road Closure : The BLM Medford District is closing the gate on Bear Camp Road on Thurs., Nov 30. The gate is closed annually for public safety ahead of winter weather and will be closed until spring conditions allow for safe public travel.

Smoke from the Anvil Fire is visible as heavy fuels continue to burn in the interior. There is no threat to containment and no anticipated growth, and monitoring is ongoing. Smoldering will likely continue through the winter in heavy interior timber. #AnvilFire2023

Happy #FieldWorkFriday! This week we traveled to SW Oregon to fix outages on the Red Mound and Bosley Butte cameras. We also checked on the Butler Mountain camera (pictured)! We deployed this temporary camera on behalf of the USDA Forest Service so they could monitor the #AnvilFire.
