On the 10 May 1941, the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and the Hunterian Museum, sustained a direct hit from a bombing raid on London. Of 14,000 specimens from Hunter’s original collection, around 3000 survived, with the galleries being reduced to rubble. #OTD
