When one of your favorite author/illustrators decides to spend his birthday at #LITapalooza, a celebration is a must! It certainly the first time we’ve ever experienced a taco piñata extravaganza in a hotel lobby! What a way to end it all… happy birthday, Stephen Shaskan he/him!!! 🍕🌮

After LITapalooza it was time for KidLitapalooza! How special to watch kids connect with their favorite authors! Loren Long gave an outstanding key-note and I loved helping Kari Lavelle with her nonfiction session! Special shoutout to 𝕄𝕣𝕤. 𝕄𝕔ℍ𝕦𝕘𝕙 (Steph) for being so darn amazing!

I always tell kids that when they find their people, they will know! I found mine in the #kidlit community & am forever grateful for the love, support, laughs, tears, hugs, learning, and friendship! LITapalooza was EVERYTHING!!!
