1yr ago today Department for Culture, Media and Sport published a white paper on gambling reform.

Despite repeated promises, little progress has been made & 100s of lives are lost every year.

Together with Faculty of Public Health & Royal Society for Public Health, we are urging local authorities to up the ante against gambling harm.

Hazel Cheeseman, Deputy CE of ASH, said: “There was a period between the Sixties and early Noughties where smoking was becoming more affordable. What we are seeing now is that reduced affordability is one of the most effective levers to change behaviour.”
