Under the Tories, the public are paying through the nose to prop up a failed project of privatisation.

A Labour govt will bring the system back into public ownership and put passengers first. 🚂

Only Labour has a plan to get our trains back on track. 🌹

Britain’s railways are broken.

Cancellations have soared to record levels, fares have risen almost twice as fast as wages, and taxpayers are paying through the teeth to prop up a failing system.

Labour will deliver a publicly owned railway that puts the passenger first.

I voted for Labour’s amendment that would ban Section 21 no-fault evictions immediately.

Private renters in and across the country are being let down by the Tories and their broken promises.

We need a General Election and a Labour government that will ban Section 21

Five years ago, the Tories pledged to end the cruel practice of no-fault evictions.

But they have since abandoned that promise, putting households at risk of homelessness.

The Tory manifesto is collapsing under the weight of vested interests.

Today at Labour’s Sarah Jones MP asked the Tory Deputy PM if he endorsed Susan Halls’ appalling endorsement of racist tropes.

It's shameful that he didn't condemn them.

She's the wrong choice for London Mayor.

Last week I called on the govt to restore funding to UNWRA – the indispensable lifeline to Gazans.

The Colonna Review stated Israel has provided no evidence of UNRWA staff being involved in the October 7th attack, prompting allies such as Germany to resume funding.

But our govt

The Tories have broken promises to end no-fault evictions.

They reneged on plans to end new leasehold flats.

They put people at risk of losing their homes with their mortgage bombshell.

Under the Tories, it’s a wonder that anyone has a home at all.

Sunak seems to govern in a vacuum, proposing free childcare places without offering any of the resources needed to deliver them.

His proposals were a pledge without a plan. And parents will be paying the price for Tory failure.

Last week the PM intensified the Tories’ hostile environment against disabled people, pledging a review of PIP proposals & even stricter work conditionalities.

Update: the Tory candidate confirms she won’t feed hungry children from next year.

The choice is clear: for free school meals made permanent, no ifs no buts - vote Labour on 2 May.

It was great to attend event.

Healthy and nutritional meals are essential to good education, which is why initiatives like our Mayor’s Free School Meals program has been so transformative for Londoners.

Thanks LACA for putting on an excellent event!

While the PM crows about falling inflation, announcements of increased mortgage rates shows how out of touch and insulated the Tories have become.

The Tories crashed our economy and households are still paying the price for Tory chaos.

The Rwanda bill is an insult to all the values of tolerance, respect and basic decency which define our nation.

This “landmark” piece of legislation only ramps up the hostile environment at enormous expense to the British tax-payer.

But this Bill will not stop people who risk

We welcome the publication of the Colonna Review following the allegations made by Israel about UNRWA being infiltrated by terrorist organisations.

We are encouraged that it found UNRWA’s processes are more developed than other similar UN or NGO agencies.

Since the case of Child Q, I have been highlighting the disturbing use of strip searching of children by police forces which often happens without an appropriate adult being present.
