This morning, the Armed Forces Day flag was presented to Deputy Lord Provost 🌹Lezley Marion Cameron DL 🌹💙🌈 to honour Armed Forces personnel. On Saturday, a reading was also given at the Royal British Legion Woman’s Section's 100th Anniversary Commemorative Service and Wreath Laying Ceremony.

Having had such a wonderful trip Munich this month, it was great welcome a delegation from our sister city to the City Chambers today. In 1954 we became each other's very first sister cities, and this year we celebrate the 70th anniversary.

🗝️ Today, at the traditional Ceremony of the Keys, The King was welcomed into the city of Edinburgh, 'your ancient and hereditary kingdom of Scotland' by the Lord Provost, who offers him the keys of the city.

It was fantastic to attend The Veterans Comedy Club at the The Poppy Factory as part of #edfringe yesterday. The show was inspirational, funny, moving and showcases the truly positive impact the Comedy Club has on the veterans (and audience). A great addition to the 2024 Festival.
