Wild animals are being beaten to death, stolen from the wild, and poisoned here in the UK by ruthless wildlife criminals. The public want them punished, but they routinely get off scot-free, according to our latest study. Learn more: ⬇️ #StopWildlifeCrime g.ifaw.org/4fTVWMT

Who does not love a Water Vol, especially the ones RSPB Minsmere 🌍 in the visitors centre pond. They are to be found most days feeding on the fresh growth/pond weed. They always bring smiles to all who see them. My memories of water vols takes me back to The Tales of the River Bank

Can't get much closer than this, to a Kestrel almost flying into my camera😆amazingly it swerved just in time. A few from a sequence of about 12 photos this week. Last one the kestrel and I were eye to eye as it flew out of the frame. My Nikon Z 8 camera tracked it all the way.

BREAKING: 5 seabird species added to UK Red List. 🚨 Climate change, invasive predators, bird flu, and overfishing are pushing populations to the brink. Urgent action is needed - including upholding the sandeel fishing closure in English North Sea & Scottish waters.

Watching this young Kestrel over the two weeks has been an absolute pleasure. He is still learning that going after prey in a bramble patch, has it's draw backs. He ended up with only his tail feathers and a wing protruding out out of the brambles😆He sat very quietly after that.

Paid a visit to Landguard for the Dotterel, unfortunately after four hours, no joy. So I went and had a look at the Purple Sandpiper that was with an Turnstone. I had a lovely hour watching it at close quaters while sitting on the concrete ramp, it walked pass me twice very close

I thought I would share this one with you all, as I have already tagged in the trust on a pervious post especially to them. I love how this little young Kestrel uses the sign as a place to hunt from and eat from. He is a wonderful example of his species and is such a character😊

I decided to go for a quiet walk along the dunes to Sizewell RSPB Minsmere 🌍 late afternoon today. To see if I could find some Redstarts, I am pleased to say I found two. On the way back along the dunes I found two Wheatears, one of them posed nicely in the setting sun.

The young Kestrel has been making short work of the Great green bush crickets he has been catching and is an nutritious substitute until he can catch larger prey. I am greatful to have this opportunity and make good use of my time with him, as and when I can on my visits.

‘Benfield Valley is under threat of development with 100 houses proposed to be built across it, cutting off the wildlife corridors. It’s an incredible place for wildlife, and really needs our help! Please share and support the The Benfield Valley Project project!’🙏💚 Kate Bradbury 🏳️‍🌈

I had a bit of fun with the Wheatears yesterday RSPB Minsmere 🌍 The indiferent weather with heavy rain, high winds and then sunshine all in a few hours. Trying out close ups and then distant to the extreme. First image interested me from a distance, with an artistic colour view.

I think there could be a problem with this site, seen this photo a few days ago with the original authors name on it, but not this person. Please check this account for your photos being used. I have messaged this person.

One of my all time favourites, a Dartford warbler male taking off the top of the gorse back in early march 2019 There is enough movement but not blurred and is mostly in focus. From my early Dartford warbler observation's over an five year period. One of my top birds in my life

A collection of past Dartford warblers encounters. My love and interest for these birds, gave me over a five year period a wonderful oppertunity to capture them in many different settings. That often was with a very early cold morning start at sunrise as seen in the first photo.
