Shooting occurred on 5/21 at 2:38 am. Officers on-scene within 1 minute after hearing gunshots. Found 3 injured, administered life-saving care to all three victims until Lincoln Fire & Rescue personnel arrived.

Officers are investigating a shooting in the area of 30th & P St. A male called 911 at 2:20am reporting he was shot. Officers located two victims inside a residence. Both are deceased.

UPDATE: The investigation has established the 3rd shooting victim at the hospital is related to the shooting from the area of 30th and P St.

The Lincoln Police Department is assisting Lincoln Fire and Rescue with a structural collapse in the 2700 block of Manse avenue. For safety purposes 27th Street will be closed from Sheridan to Bradley for an extended period of time. Please use an alternate route for your safety.

LPD is asking for help from the community in locating the suspect responsible for stabbing Austin Gress, 26-year-old of Lincoln, on Friday evening. The suspect, ID'd as Steven A. Alexander, fled the scene. An arrest warrant for Alexander was issued. He is considered dangerous.

The Lincoln Police Department is currently investigating an injury accident in the 5600 block of Randolph Street. Randolph Street will be closed from 56th to 58th for an extended period of time. Please use alternate routes until advised, and drive safely.

The Lincoln Police Department has made an arrest in the South 20th and Washington Street homicide.

LPD is proud to recognize Sergeant Tu Tran for his actions in rescuing a party from a submerged vehicle yesterday afternoon. Sergeant Tran quickly entered the frigid water and extricated the driver. This is his 2nd water rescue in less than 6 months!

It was 10 years ago today when the LPD family lost Officer John Clarke #872. John was a good cop, great friend, and a role model for many. John had served the Lincoln community for 22 years. We miss you John.

ALERT: Lincoln Police are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting near NW 28th and West O Streets. The call came in just after 2:45 p.m. One suspect with injuries was transported to the hospital. No officers were hurt. Please avoid the area as the investigation continues.

I-80 Westbound traffic is being diverted at the NW48th St exit in Lincoln because of a crash just west of there. Consider heading north to Highway 34 or south to Highway 6 ahead of that area for the time being.
