Sailors aboard the USS Bataan saluted the 9/11 memorial as the ship sailed down the Hudson river Wednesday morning.

One historic ship taking part in #FleetWeek is the USS Bataan, which served the nation during the attacks on 9/11 and provided humanitarian relief to the victims of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. on.today.com/3N2DLWC

In honor of #FleetWeek, pitchers Stephen Nogosek & @ColinHolderman visited the USS Bataan, a landing helicopter dock-class ship at Pier 88. The players received a private tour and met members who serve on board. They also handed out New York Mets 60th Anniversary branded challenge coins.
