Ongoing flooding in Reserve, LA after #Francine 🌀 This is a good reminder NOT to swim, wade, play or drive in floodwaters where you’ll find fuels, chemicals, sewage, carcasses, and living things like alligators, poisonous snakes and fire ants looking for something to hold onto.

Now that Francine is inland, we are 6 for 6 on named storms and landfall this season. Pretty rare. What could be next? Watching an area off the SE U.S. coast and TD 7 in the MDR. Breaking down the odds this evening on The Weather Channel

Turn Around Don’t Drown. But if you are going to drive through neighborhood flooding, be mindful of the people who live there. Doing this, and causing wake, will push water into the homes of folks who have already been through too much. #Francine coverage continues on

A morning walk around the French Quarter and a cup of coffee from Café Du Monde is a tradition for me before I leave New Orleans. Time in the Big Easy is always time well spent, and I’m very glad the city fared reasonably well during hurricane Francine. Until next time…
