U.S. Army Sergeant Shane Padraig Duffy died on June 4, 2008 in Tikrit, Iraq, from wounds sustained during combat operations in Sharqat, Iraq. Shane was 22 years old and from Taunton, Massachusetts. 1st Bn, 87th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division.
