Two men have been given life sentences for the murder of a man who was stabbed to death in a flat.

DI Clare Gibson said: 'I hope today’s outcome brings Davices family some degree of closure to now these offenders have been brought to justice and sentenced for their crimes.”

Courier fraud is when criminals contact victims by phone pretending to be police officers or bank officials.

The caller might use easily obtainable details about the victim e.g. full name and address.

Yesterday, Michael McDaid, 60, was charged with murder, as well as for possession of a Class B drug.

Daniel Rounce has been sentenced to a minimum of 25 years for the murder of Gerald Wickes.
