You can visit the monastery if you arrive in the morning, but you have to cover your legs. To facilitate this, there’s a clothes rack outside the monastery with all kinds of baggy trousers and long skirts straight out of a St Vincent de Paul shop

This is an amazing monastery attached precariously to the cliff face on the way to Dimitsana. Amazingly, it’s still inhabited by a group of monks!
