"It's a feeling of being very fortunate at the end... that I get to work at a place with people who are both great engineers and great people, and we still get to dare mighty things together." - NASA JPL's Al Chen describes today's #CountdownToMars landing.

No one: Where were you when NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover landed? Me: E-2.5 hrs … locked outside this building in the pouring rain, with neither badge nor cell phone, in a complete state of panic!

It has been almost two weeks since NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover landed on Mars. Our EDL and MEDLI2 teams at Langley anxiously awaited the rovers landing since many of them have worked on this project for almost 8 years. Watch to see our team’s reaction as the rover landed on Mars!

In today's #StateOfNASA address, we announced two new NASA Solar System missions to study the planet Venus, which we haven't visited in over 30 years! DAVINCI+ will analyze Venus’ atmosphere, and VERITAS will map Venus’ surface.

DAVINCI+ will analyze Venus’ thick, crushing atmosphere to understand how it formed and evolved and determine whether Venus ever had an ocean: go.nasa.gov/NewVenusMissio…

NEW MISSIONS AHEAD!🥳NASA has selected the VERITAS & DAVINCI+ Discovery Program proposals as missions. Both will focus on the hottest planet in our solar system, Venus. VERITAS will study the planet’s inner workings and DAVINCI+ will study its atmosphere. go.nasa.gov/2RVPBup

DAVINCI+ will be the first NASA mission since 1978 to enter Venus’ atmosphere – an atmosphere so dense that it would feel as though you were half a mile below the ocean’s surface. The mission will investigate why Venus is a hothouse compared to Earth. go.nasa.gov/3x646e7

It takes lots of research and testing to successfully bring samples of Mars to Earth. Watch #ScienceinSeconds as NASA Solar System’s Dr. Lori Glaze talks to NASA Langley Research Center's Andrew Gomez-Delrio about one of many tests helping us prepare for the NASA Mars Sample Return Mission.

Ten years ago today, Curiosity braved a landing so harrowing it seemed almost crazy. I wouldn’t be here without that legacy. Happy 10th to the mighty Curiosity Rover and her mission team, many of whom I’m lucky to work with today. A decade on Mars: go.nasa.gov/3w66y6j

Two years ago, a car-sized rover landed on Mars with the names of 10.9 million Earthlings. Now, NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover is collecting samples set to one day return to Earth: go.nasa.gov/3lIUZPU

Two years ago today, I went for the ride of a lifetime: down through the Martian atmosphere to my new home. Go behind the scenes with the people who got me here and learn more about what it took to survive the “Seven Minutes of Terror.” 🔊 Listen: go.nasa.gov/3yfvIAu
