Great day on Monday at the SocialHistorySociety conference in Durham! Talks on the High Street transformed accompanied by sunny castle views.
It was great to chat with Zaria Gorvett about the Olympic event of plunging for distance for her piece in BBC Future. It was held only once, St Louis 1904. I also shared my memories of competing in the plunge at school in the early 80s DMU History ICSHC bbc.com/future/article…
