Discussions from the festival on Sunday. Local women from different industries talk about women’s health & their workplaces. Then a human rights access to healthcare session with Making Rights Real Scottish Women's Convention which was very powerful

Well Mhairi is a powerhouse and one of the most insightful, supportive and genuinely awesome people I know. Whilst I'm gutted she's leaving the HRCS, HUGE congrats to the new adventure. I look forward to many more years of shenanigans with you in your new role! 🎊

This is a shocking decision that will negatively impact people seeking asylum in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Worse than that, it's a betrayal of trust. Another broken promise by First Minister Scottish Government For people who have £1.36 a day to live on, this policy would have been life changing. #NewScots

‼️📢More than 50 refugee, faith based organisations & public bodies across #Scotland signed a letter to the First Minister regarding the disappointing decision to scrap the #FreeBusTravel scheme to people seeking asylum. Read letter: linktr.ee/maryhillintegr… #RefugeesWelcome

If there's not a Human Rights Bill incorporating #AllOurRightsInLaw in the Scottish Government 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 PfG, it'll be a momentous slap in the face for the 1000s of rights holders who have given their time and energy to tell First Minister how important human rights are for positive change. #Dignity

“We are addressing a symptom and not the cause of the problem.” At our meeting yesterday we continued our scrutiny of the Housing (Scotland) Bill. Tony Cain from ALACHO told us some of his concerns about the Bill.👇 Watch the meeting in full: ow.ly/sJwB50TfjY4

The majority of issues I deal with at work are about violations of carers and disabled people's basic human rights. The Scottish Human Rights Bill was an opportunity to ensure better accountability when those rights are not being realised. Hugely disappointed by this news today..
