Analyzing data from European Social Survey across 29 countries, we identified 5 profiles of work-family digital communication & three concerning patterns: 1⃣ Gendered digital double burden: women are more likely to juggle the 'dual burden' of digital labor both at home and at work (2/5)

2⃣ Gender specialization in digital labor: traditional work-family gender specialization clearly extends into the digital domain, with women more likely to specialize in family-only digital communication and men work-only digital communication (3/5)

3⃣ WFH, digital literacy & diffusion exacerbate gender gaps in digital double burden ➡️ growing digital capacity shouldn't come at the cost of gender inequality in digital labour, and we need gender-egalitarian digital capacity building + work-family policies (4/5)
