‼️‼️TODAYS GAME HAS A START TIME OF 6PM‼️‼️ Due to weather todays initially 4pm game against Reading is now moved to 6pm at Timothy M Breidegam field in Kutztown.

Schedule update 7/14 Game 12 has been delayed 2 hours Start time will be 6:00 pm Game 12 Boyertown vs Reading Game 13 will be about 50 minutes after West Lawn vs Kutztown.

A late rally fell short as the Bears lost a heartbreaker to Reading, 6-5, ending the 2024 season. The Bears stole 11 bases, L. Barndt has a hit and two walks; pitcher C. Waibel allowed 8 hits. Thank you, Bears, for a fun season, & thank you fans for supporting The Bears. 🐻🐾❤️

Congratulations to Dr. Wilbur “Willy” Stout, inducted into the Pennsylvania American Legion Baseball Hall of Fame. Will is a 1986 graduate of Boyertown and was a catcher for the Bears. He was the American Legion Player of the year in 1987 following the World Series Championship.

The Boyertown Legion Bears were sad to learn about the passing of Bob Houck this past week. Bob was a major supporter and contributor to American Legion Baseball in Boyertown (and beyond). The Bears send condolences to the Houck Family. ❤️ dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/boy…

Our first “senior” is Louis Panunzio, a RHP for the Bears. Louis joined the Bears after his senior year and was a regular in the team’s pitching rotation. He’s headed to Marymount Univ. to study Business Sports Management & play baseball. Best of luck, Louis!

𝟠/𝟙/𝟘𝟡 𝐄𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐫 threw the first 5 scoreless innings as Boyertown Legion Bears won the PA State Legion Tourney title, 2-0, v. Nor-Gwyn. Moser starred for DeSales U. Baseball, hitting .379 with 10 HR/51 RBI as a '23 senior. He was 1st team all-MAC Freedom Conference.

Today’s “Senior” is Randy Wynings. Randy is a third generation Legion Bear, a 2024 Boyertown grad, and the Bears’ starting third baseman. Next plans are to continue working for his parents excavation business. Congrats on a great career as a Legion Bear, Randy! We’ll miss you!🐾

Today’s “Senior” is Connor Moyer. Connor a 2024 Boyertown grad, and pitching and acting as a utility player for the Bears. Next plans are to pursue a career in marketing. Good luck in all of your endeavors, Connor! Once a Bear always a Bear 🐻⚾️❤️

Our last (but not least!) “senior” is # 22 Matt Smith. Matt is a 2024 graduate of PJP and was an outfielder and pitcher for during his 3 year career with the Bears. He’s headed to West Chester University in the fall and hopes to continue playing baseball. Good luck Matt! ⚾️

One last shoutout to all of our “seniors” - those who finished their final year of legion eligibility this past summer. Thank you to Connor Moyer, Louis Panunzio, Matt Smith, Hayden Stezenko, and Randy Wynings for spending your last few summers here with us at Bears Stadium! ❤️⚾️
