As the gathering and congress come to a close, I am honoured to take part in presenting the inaugural CSBA National Reconciliation Partnership Award to the Quw'utsun Syuw'entst Lelum/Cowichan Tribes and Cowichan Valley School District in recognition of their dedication to reconciliation.

Today, I attended a powerful presentation on a new RCYBC report calling for transformative change in child and youth care after the tragic death of a young Indigenous boy. This is a crucial step to protect kids in care and avoid these preventable tragedies. #dontlookaway
