It took me years to decide to stop drinking.

Lady walks into a hospital employee only elevator @ 8:10am. Looks at the buttons. Shakes her head in disappointment & then deeply sighs. Looks at me & says, “No button that says home”.
She walks out before the door even closes, back into her day & i’ve found a new work hero.

As seen walking into the children’s hospital today, scribbled on the wall in chalk, “One Day At A Time”. 🙌🏼

5 months sober. Gained a lot of weight but I don’t care because at least I remember to eat my dinner instead of drink it. The sun is shining on me today and it always has I just took it for granted. #sober #recoveryposse #grateful

6yo tried a gymnastics move tonight & didn’t complete it on the first try so she says, “you just gotta say to yourself, self, I believe in you and then try it again”.

I visited a prison cemetery today because I'd heard that the gravestones only had the state prisoner numbers on them. When I got there, the stone of each gravestone did in fact have the state number chiseled into it. However...
