Why is the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) dropping bombs on villages inside South Sudan? On Tuesday Aug 6th, the Sudan Air Force dropped 4 bombs and today Wednesday Aug 7th 4 more bombs on the village of Khor Tumbak in Maban County, Upper Nile State killing 3 and injuring scores more.

Not my intention to share gory images here. Yet, it’s horrific to see Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) massacring South Sudanese in Wed Medani which their forces has just reclaimed from RSF. Even if these were mercenaries, they’ve protection under the IHL.

With these images, which side is a terrorist: SAF or RSF? Burhan or Hemedit? Secretary Antony Blinken: Do the sanctions on Hemedti alone mean anything? It’s clear that SAF isn’t a saint. Look at how SAF is treating South Sudanese. The RSF is more of adherent to IHL (Law of War) than SAF.

A great joy seeing my friend, مستشار البرهان (Dr. Waleed Madibo) in Nairobi after many months. The citizens of our 2 countries are galvanized in fear and anxiety following Wad Medani massacre. We both appeal to SAF & RSF to respect the rule of law and Human Right of our peoples!

This homemade SPLA soldier's kit was modeled on a knapsack for the Cuban military personnel⁩. It was introduced by the Cuban-trained officers who returned home with them in 1987. The SPLA soldiers began to like them & improvised this local version made of bags from relief food.
