Great to see this preprint now being accepted, and to receive some Biodiv. & Ecosystem Services in a Changing Climate action group funding to keep developing the LPJ-GUESS model for Arctic ecosystems and reindeer herbivory.

A great meeting with Göteborgs universitet / University of Gothenburg attending with 12 researchers and students. Congratulations Anne Bjorkman for being elected new co-chair. Next meeting, we take home to Gothenburg. So welcome to Gothenburg all ITEXers in 1.5-2 years time!

Two fun days where we tried to figure out how to better represent cryptogams in DGVMs. Some really interesting discussions and a route forward for our Biodiv. & Ecosystem Services in a Changing Climate action group.

🚨New APE co-led paper out!🚨 If you wonder how ecosystem respiration will change in a future warmer tundra? Here we provide some answers using the #ITEX experiment, with important contribution of our #Latnjajaure data (going all the way back to the IPY years).

Interested in remote sensing and tundra vegetation change? If, then we have great opportunity for a PhD here in Gothenburg with a great supervisor team (@RRs4es, Robert Björk, and Alison Beamish).

Here is a PhD position in LPJ-GUESS group based in Lund University, working on plant-soil interactions in arctic tundra, supervised by me and @millerinlund. Please forward lu.varbi.com/en/what:job/jo… to people who are interested in it.

🚨Paper alert! Involving #Latnjajaure data and contribution from Mats P. Björkman and Robert Björk. Great led by Cassandra Elphinstone and great example that the International Tundra Experiment is not only monitoring and warming! "att det finns en konflikt mellan utveckling och miljö är en återkommande missuppfattning." 20 forskare, varav flera BECC:are, räds ökad polarisering mellan människa och natur efter en debattartikel i DN skriven av företrädare för Moderaterna: altinget.se/miljo/artikel/…

Fully packed for this year's field season. Looking forward to starting up the trace gas measurements in our exclosure experiment.

Arrived in Ritsem and started with a test run of all equiment to make sure it's ready to go tomorrow. MSc-students Maja and Malin fully occupied under supervision of Cole Brachmann.

Finally up running with our Vetenskapsrådet funded #ReindeerFlux project. Two long days and luckily I have a very dedicated postdoc and MSc-students measuring GHG and BVOCs, as well as flying drones. Great collaboration with @RRs4es and Prof. Riikka Rinnan.

New paper out from APE@GU's Robert Björk using our reindeer exclusions. Another paper highlighting the value of maintaining long-term monitoring.

We will all miss Ulf, who was instrumental in establishing the #ITEX network and in keeping the #Latnjajaure Field Station running all these years.
