Together with Amsterdam UMC @Flahless1 @viroloog we developed a PCR tiling method for #Monkeypox using Oxford Nanopore. Method is tested on 40 monkeypox samples in a 42 minute #NextGenPCR program. This method is inspired by Midnight, Nikki Freed and ARTIC Network 🧵 First data⬇️

What a productive day with the ongoing #Mpox Diagnostic and Sequencing training held at Institut National de Recherche Biomédicale (INRB) in collaboration with Africa CDC. The teams interpreted RT-PCR results, quantified, normalized, prepared libraries and, loaded onto the two Illumina and Oxford Nanopore platforms.
