I'd really like to know about this for kids, too. One of my kids hates getting vaccines, & we try to limit time inside clinics anyway because healthcare workers & patients alike don't mask. Any science on one impacting the other, or the health of the child, would be welcome.

We look back on people centuries ago who bathed once a year as a joke, as totally uninformed. I hope if there are future humans, they look back on going to school sick the same way.

UPDATE: Teacher and assistant teacher both out sick. Four students are out sick (including one who was out last Monday, but back in later in the week), and the SUBSTITUTE TEACHER WAS COUGHING. My kid better never get COVID, ever, and better not miss Halloween.

Recently there was an article on the Daily Mail about heart palpitations, & the picture used was of a really young woman, like maybe 30, if even. I should've screenshotted it. But such a young person? That sort of photo would NEVER have been used for such an article pre-2020.

My kid had a super awesome Halloween mask, but it was really hot to wear that and his COVID-&-more-preventing mask. So he chose the COVID-preventing one. He still looked really rad.

I really can't wait 17 years for doctors and that ilk to catch up with current science. COVID is bad. Mask in N95s. Clean the air.

Had a hard choice today. Choose the one masked check out clerk at the grocery store, who had the coughing kid of a firefighter (no hero cuz not masked and clearly spreading disease), or go to an unmasked clerk. Chose clerk by the door and hope that got enough fresh air.

Demanding that everyone get a vaccine that they don’t want to get is worlds less “authoritarian” than forcing infection on everyone repeatedly. It’s not even comparable.

Some of the worst people I know are those who masked up until spring 2022, and then stopped. They make the biggest effort to distance themselves from masks and COVID safety. Really miffed about a couple of those people right now.
