Had good interaction with the Powertel (Powergrid Telecom) - AS132215 team at #IMC earlier in the day. Very few people know about the massive optical transport network Powertel has in India.

Any Linux (desktop/laptop) user here? What do you use for spreadsheets on Linux? Tried onlyoffice - felt little buggy over time, Libreoffice UI feels quite hard to use. Hard to not use a cloud based spreadsheet software.

Contabo India > NTT AS17439 > Extreme IX VPP > Google. This seems like a new setup. This was earlier Contabo > NTT > Tata Comm AS4755 > Google. We are now going into: "Layer 3 peering is bad" -> "Hey Google uses layer 3 peering, what can possibly go wrong?" kind of questions.

Seems like RIPE NCC has recently added the RRC-info - API - stat.ripe.net/docs/data-api/… Pretty cool. Can now use this data directly instead of computing from MRT dumps. :)

Govt. messed up PM-WANI project big time. Instead of a system of centralised authentication to get rid of liability factor if misuse happens, it became a "get rich with passive income" scheme. It could have solved by legalising wifi at hotels, restaurants etc. So much more.

Arrived in Mumbai earlier in the day. Hotel was 3.5km from the airport. Uber + Ola in starting range of 500-600 INR, Rapido a little but similar. 400m walk + Mumbai metro + 400m again = 20 INR. Without good public transport cities will just become absolute mess.
