Unfortunate mathematics error from the RBA governor in Parliament. He said if house prices now fell 10% after having gone up 25% over the past two years "they're still up 15% over three years". Actually, they would be up 12.5%, because the 10% fall is from a higher base.

Let's please stop giving math a 'real world context' or telling our students that they'll need it 'in the real world'. Instead, let's make it meaningful right now, to the learners in our room.
