Benighted Labour, Lib Dem & Conservative councillors voted for this mine on the basis of the jobs it would create.

But as Mike Berners-Lee says here, creating a 'small number of jobs in yesterday's economy would do more harm than good.'

We need green jobs, and Green councillors.

I stood down as a Lib Dem councillor because, time and again, my peers failed to be the climate leaders we all so desperately need.

I've concluded that we need to elect more Greens.

So in the by-election triggered by my resignation I'm urging folks to vote for The Green Party.
