The best way to keep people with mental health struggles in work is to make sure they can access timely, appropriate and effective treatment, and to ensure all workplaces have fair and compassionate policies and procedures to support them. Not penalising people for being ill.

Rishi Sunak pays an illegal migrant £3,000 of (our) taxpayers money to take a trip to Rwanda, just so he can grab the headlines before polling day!

As we’ve long suspected, gov have bullied & hustled a ‘volunteer’ to go to Rwanda in return for £3K which will doubtless be used to fund a remigration. And we continue to churn humans in a grubby game of ‘anywhere but here’s. Despicable.

And awful headline from LBC.

Great and brave question. Shabby response. Around 4% of the population suffers PTSD at any given time ... Stride's proposal is an election gimmick designed to stigmatise people experiencing crisis 👇🏽

Today, asylum seekers & undocumented people live in even more fear as the government is engaging in a shock Rwanda operation in time for elections in order to get votes.

This 🧵focuses on this harmful policy & migrants in & out of higher education.

Shame on you, Heineken/ Bulmers - nearly 300 acres of apple trees wastefully levelled on the Offa's Dyke path in Monmouthshire:

We now have to make checks on EU food imports because we no longer have access to the EU's EFSA database. It's another Brexit negative that's going to cost us £billions.

At today, Rishi Sunak said taxes are “being cut by £900 for the average worker”.

This figure refers specifically to savings from recently announced reductions to National Insurance contributions. It doesn’t factor in the impact of ongoing tax threshold freezes. (1/3)

Your weekend task:
With elections taking place in many areas on Thursday May 2, if you are intending to vote in person
1: plan ahead and decide on a time you’ll go to the polling station

The UK will finally impose checks on EU fresh food next week.

I've tracked the journey bacon takes from Denmark to the UK, to illustrate the new reality of Brexit - that while trade doesn't stop, it's about to become harder and that bit more expensive
