Good morning, Annie Annie Walker. #PeaceAndJustice. #Pigoneer & thank you, as always. As you say, it is pretty miserable out there this #SundayMorning. Here's one that fits your "quiet streets" comment. This is "Church near Blackheath" by Elwin Hawthorne (1934) ex the collection: Manchester City Art Gallery

Good morning, Ian Ian Briggs & thank you, as always. Here's one that I haven't shown for a while that might engender thoughts of brighter summer days to come. This is "Stone Cottages" by John Cooper that I believe dates from 1936. It is in the collection The Hepworth Wakefield

I thought I'd start today & the new week with one that I haven't shown for a very long time indeed: I can't imagine why not: its a belter! This is "St Margaret Pattens, Eastcheap" by Elwin Hawthorne from 1928, I believe. #ElwinHawthorne #EastLondonGroup #MondayMorning

This is another one that I haven't shown here for a very long time: "Chingford" by George Board. It is undated but I suspect that it might be from 1928 or 1929. It is one of only two known pieces by him & previous conversations online have suggested that it might be Gilwell Park.

I popped over to paint #Godney on the #Somerset Levels on a bleak winter’s morning. And there are plenty of them about right now. And eerie place with miles of flat marshland.
