Fantastic, clear-eyed, well researched repsonse from Dr Mike Jones to some of the wrongs in Hunt's article of privilege. Esp: “For a museum like the V&A, to decolonise is to decontextualise.” mikejonesonline.com/contextjunky/2… #museum
Amazing, powerful session “Archives in cultural centres: centring Indigenous community knowledge by design” thank you so much to Merle Carter & Wayne Barker from Kimberley Aboriginal Law & Culture Centre for coming to #DTAAdelaide2019 & sharing your knowledge with us. Annelie de Villiers
Wonderful presentation from Jennifer O'Neal at #DTAAdelaide2019 on the importance of Centering Indigenous Knowledge and of Reading and Implementing Indigenous GLAM work. Yes!!!
Something is in the air. As someone more interested in relationality than linearity it’s heartening to see us moving beyond the obsession with origins, discoveries, and what deb verhoeven would call the ‘seminal moment’ to instead look at repetitions, relations, and returns
Had a great time discussing key themes and reflecting on #DTAAdelaide2019 with Michaela Hart she/her, Annelie de Villiers, Greg Rolan, Joanne Evans and Prof. Sue McKemmish at @ausarchivists #asavic event this eve focusing on people, power and the role of #archives.
Ok so this is the 5th time I've tried to bake something for the ESRC UniMelb and failed miserably.. again for the 5th time. So is baking soda and baking powder not the same thing? My banana bread is more like a solid banana slab
